About Fareaway
Fareaway is an interactive cheap flights map that flips flight search: instead of picking a destination and comparing fares, you start from a budget, a month and a trip length, and see every reachable destination on a world map, with real observed fares.
Why this project
The question many travellers ask is not "how much is Paris to Lisbon?" but "I have €250 and five days, where can I go?". Classic comparators answer it poorly: they need a destination first. Fareaway was built to answer it visually, with a map that recolors to your budget.
An independent project
Fareaway is an independent project, developed and maintained continuously since August 2026 in France. It is not owned or funded by any airline or travel agency.
How Fareaway is funded
Fareaway is free and requires no account. When you click "See flights" and book with the partner (Aviasales, through the Travelpayouts affiliate network), or an activity with Tiqets, Fareaway earns a commission paid by the partner. You pay exactly the same price as going to them directly: no markup, no hidden fees. Partner links are marked as sponsored.
What Fareaway tracks today
Twelve departure cities (Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Lille, Strasbourg, Montpellier, Brussels, Geneva), over 2,300 routes with a 12-month fare calendar, nightly price checks and 90 days of history per destination. The map itself works from any city in the world. Sources and calculations are detailed in the methodology.
